How to Join the Leisure Owners Association

Post by Colin Shead »

Why should I join, what are the benefits?

Perhaps the most important is immediate access to a wealth of knowledge, experience and help concerning every model of Leisure yacht. Much of the knowledge is contained in individual Technical Reference Library articles, a growing range of Owners Manuals and in the "Saltings" magazine archive which covers the last 20 years.

The Association digital magazine, "LeisureTime" (formerly "Saltings"), is published three times a year and contains both sailing and technical articles written by the membership, as well as news and other items of interest.
More Immediate advice and help is available to members on the active Discussion Forum.

The Leisure Association is run wholly by volunteers. Funds are used solely to administer, sustain and improve the experience of Association members.

Lifetime Membership

In exchange for the joining fee (currently £10) you receive Lifetime Membership and an account on our Discussion Forum. There is no recurring annual subscription.
Your membership will continue as long as you log on to the Discussion Forum at least once a year. No need to post anything, just log in to confirm you are an 'active' member, otherwise your forum account will automatically cease.
This is to comply with Data Protection regulations that require we only hold the details of of current members.

All the Association information resources, Owners Manuals, Reference Library articles and 20 years of back issues of "Saltings" are available on the Discussion Forum when you have an account.

How to Join

To join please go to the registration page, where you will find a simple online registration form. When this is completed you will be led to a payment page where you can pay the lifetime subscription (currently £10) using any normal credit / debit card or your own PayPal account. After Payment is complete you will be taken to a page showing that payment has been successful and you will also receive an e-mail receipt from PayPal.

When registration and payment is complete our Administrator will create an Forum Account for you and you will receive a Welcome e-mail explaining how to access the Forum. This may take up to 24 hours depending on the Administrator's availability, occasionally longer.

Should you have any problem with registration or payment, please e-mail the Administrator for assistance.
